PLASTIC & RUBBER INSTITUTE OF SRI LANKA
The Plastics & Rubber Institute of Sri Lanka (PRISL) is the national professional body established for members who are in those businesses to plastic and rubber. It acts as the focal point and center for networking for members and assist in promoting the interests of its members through regular technical meetings, seminars and conferences and visit to manufacturing plants and industrial sites, etc
The PRISL also has an important role in establishing sound ethical guidelines to the industry, through its professional grades of membership, and for maintaining high standards of education and professional competence in the science, engineering and technology of plastics and rubber.
SRI LANKA INSTITUTE OF PACKAGING
The Sri Lanka Institute Of Packaging Was Inaugurated In February 1975
With The Assistance Of The Export Promotion Secretariat. The Formation Of This Institute Was A Result Of A Mission Carried Out In March 1974 By The Itc Functional Adviser On Export Packaging, Mr. Johan Selin.
The Institute Of Packaging Is An Association Of Private And Public Sector Enterprises And Is Considered To Be The First Of Its Kind In A Developing Country.
THE NATIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) was founded in 1948. Its foremost objective was at that time to Ceylonisation of trade. The founder members comprised of all leading ethnic groups, Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims and Burger. After achieving the foremost objective, the chamber turned to address issues faced by members. During the last six decades the Chamber has emerged as the leading and industrial promotion body in the island who works with a lot of progressive businesses in the country.
NATIONAL CHAMBER OF INDUSTRY
The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI) was formed in 1960 and established by a special ACT of Parliament and it is the pioneering Chamber for Industries in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) after the independence. The CNCI initiated its function as the foremost service facilitator and well as the voice of the Industry.
